Late in the summer of 1937, Republican and Rebel armies clashed on the wasted deserts South-West of Saragossa. Around and in the town of Belchite, fiery close combats erupted for several weeks, wrecking some of it’s buildings forever. The following abandonment did the rest: today, the old town of Belchite is but a field of ruin and historical self-awareness.
This rank is loosley inspired by traditional Spanish rural architecture. It is intended to be used in South European and North African gaming tables set between 1500 and 1950.
